Each raffle stub  allows free admission to the million dollar grand  prix which will showcase the world top riders and jumper/ hunter horses.  The grand prix will start at 1:30pm on Sept 12, to be followed by the Big $$$ raffle drawing followed by the Fogerty concert.

It’s hard to believe, but Family is 40 this year! What a wondrous journey it has been and continues to be. From its grassroots beginning as a hotline operating from Gail’s house on Library Lane in 1970, FAMILY has grown to be a major provider of human services throughout Ulster and surrounding counties.

As in past years, FAMILY is sponsoring its Big $$$ Raffle, our major fundraiser of the year, with a grand prize of $20,000. This year, to celebrate our 40th, we are adding three additional $2,000 prizes AND giving everybody that purchases a ticket(s) free admission to a JOHN FOGERTY concert to be held at HITS (Horse Shows in the Sun) in Saugerties on September 12, 2010 at 3:00pm. Like last year, those that buy early get five extra chances to win! Buy your tickets by August 1st and be included in both the Early Bird and Big $$$ Raffles. Fantastic odds... a maximum of 3,000 tickets sold… in total . . . . 18 prizes in all! And, each raffle ticket includes admission to the concert.

The Big $$$ Raffle is Family’s major fundraiser and supports all of Family’s services: Family is a network of individuals, paid and volunteer, whose mission is to provide confidential, fully accessible crisis intervention, information, prevention, and support services. We believe that the common ground which unites us, both helper and helped, is greater than the differences which divide us, and that everyone deserves the respect and support of our larger community. Family has become a lead agency in the areas of homelessness, domestic violence, emergency services, child care, and adolescent programs and is providing leadership in the areas of emergency food and helping seniors remain in their homes.

The goal of Family’s programs is to help consumers achieve self-sufficiency and self-respect. A TOTAL OF $38,800 IN PRIZES! We don’t have to tell you that with your help, Family provides essential services throughout our community and we will never quit finding ways to make a difference.
